  • Democracy in Action has worked for protection of water. The proposed Pennington County Septic Ordinance (download draft here) will be discussed at a series of public meetings sponsored by Planning and Zoning. All six public meetings will run from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

    Tuesday, March 16, 2010 – New Underwood City Hall
    Thursday, March 18, 2010 – Wall Community Center+
    Tuesday, March 23, 2010 – Johnson Siding Community Center
    Thursday, March 25, 2010 – Hill City, High School Theater
    Tuesday, April 6, 2010  – Rockerville Community Center, 2010
    Thursday, April 8, 2010—Rapid City—Pennington County Commisssioners Meeting Room

    Commissioners and the Planning and Zoning Commission members have been invited to these meetings. Please write to them about your support for this ordinance using this contact information. This ordinance protects water and supports homeowners who want ensure their property investment AND their neighborhood with well-maintained septic systems.
