Rapid City Elections June 2
May 7, 2009

Watching how a candidate fields questions tells us something about breadth of knowledge, attention to citizen concerns and personal agendas. If we don't ask, they won't or can't tell! Getting candidates on the record with citizen questioning is a critical pre-election function.

•DIA urges citizens to attend the City Council Candidates Forum hosted by Friends of Rapid City Parks on Tues. May 26 at 7pm at The Dahl.

For information on who's running, questions we invited the eleven candidates to answer are posted. To see who responded and read their views, check our What We Advocate Link.

•DIA hosts a pre-election forum for School Board Area 1 & Area 2 Candidates Wednesday, May 27, 2009 in the Cafeteria of South Middle School from 7-9:00 p.m.  The first hour will be candidates answering DIA questions conveyed to them in advance.  The public will have an opportunity to ask questions of the candidates during the second hour.  Here are the questions DIA sent to all candidates.
