Greening Rapid City Forum May 3
March 26, 2009
|
Democracy in Action, in cooperation with The Journey Museum and other sponsors, hosts a public Greening Rapid City Forum at the Journey Museum on May 3 at 2:00 pm. Exhibits open at 1:30
We are inviting all those who are representing the city at the Green Cities Conference in Portland to be on our panel. Public Works Director Robert Ellis, Growth Management Director Marcia Elkins and council members Aaron Costello, Karen Gunderson Olson, and Patti Martinson will be on the panel. Other attendees hope to join the panel, too.
The event gives city representatives an opportunity to share with the public what they learned at the conference and to hear ideas from the public on how we as a city could be more green. The public is invited to submit questions and participate in the discussion.
See displays by local "green" and recycling businesses and non-profits in the Journey Museum lobby from 1-4 pm. The forum will be held in the Wells Fargo Theater.
