When and Where We Meet
Goals for July 1, 2010 – June 30, 2011 adopted at Planning Retreat
I. Political Action: DIA’s ongoing endorsement and outreach process to local candidates; campaigns for endorsed candidates; supporting progressives from both parties; putting DIA members on City/County/State committees.
II. Local Social Action/Be the Change: Identify and explore ways to support the work of community agencies already working for improvement in our community. This work ultimately empowers women toward independent functioning, voting and leadership.
III. Fostering a Local Progressive Climate: Lead and/or network with other progressive organizations in support of non-partisan issues such as local foods, recycling, improvement of graduation rate for Indian students and other Native Justice issues; improved funding for education, creation of wilderness.
